Let’s Get Down To Business

We all have a story to tell, right? Mine started 15 years ago as a graphic designer in the newspaper advertising industry which soon molded into a designer for a national dental distributor in their award-winning in-house creative department. There, I led the award-winning lifestyle magazine Incisal Edge as Design Director and soon became the Creative Supervisor for the entire team. I know what you’re thinking: Newspaper to dental? But that’s what creatives do:

They adapt. They learn. They create. 

So here I am now, part of Inspired Studio…hoping to tell our clients’ stories in a strategically visual way. When working with them, we aren’t afraid to dig deep to truly find out who they are and what makes them different. When those elements perfectly come together, it’s truly magical. From marketing, to design, to branding, to copy, it all has to fit together to tell the story. Their story.

My creative passion? Color. 

Growing up flanked by towering trees, majestic lakes and acres upon acres of undisturbed nature taught me that I can use a lot of what I experience in nature in my design work. Whether it’s the forest green that circulates the smell of fresh pine or the dark blue that takes you back to weekends at the lake, color is the driving force that heightens all the senses.

The hallmark of my designs is the strong use of color to evoke purposeful emotion, electrify the senses and bring life to the stories of people, products and companies. That perfect marriage of an innovative idea and exhilarating color is what makes the senses come alive. It’s the unconventional use of color to creatively tell a story that sets my style apart from the crowd. Just like the nature explorer or weekend warrior, I’m always looking for the next adventure. Let’s find our next expedition together.

My creative and personal life is a balance of everything I love.

I am a die-hard Friends fan. Show me a frame of any episode and I can tell you what storylines happen and throw a few quotes at you too.

I believe in Bigfoot. Or just the idea of the unknown and that fascinates me.

Huge fan of Marvel movies. We have watched them in order starting from Iron Man into Phase 4. FUN FACT: I am #teamscarlettwitch and my husband is #teamcaptainmarvel on who is most powerful…it’s a touchy subject.

I love escape rooms, a good puzzle and craft beer is my jam.

And most importantly, I have an amazingly supportive husband and three even more amazingly awesome kids and fur baby: Brooke, Jaxon, Rhett and Mia. I (along with our entire families) are huge advocates for Autism awareness & acceptance. Our daughter, Brooke, is autistic and we fight for her every day! #leadwithinclusion
